第一种:表示“劝告”、“建议”或“义务”,译做“应当”、“应该”。
例如:
We should learn about the computer and make full use of it. 我们应该懂得计算机并且充分利用它。
He should take care of his parents as they are old enough not to live on themselves. 由于父母亲老了,不能自理,他应当照顾他们。
You should see a doctor at once. 你应该立刻去看医生。
第二种:表示“预测”和“可能”。
例如:
He should be there now. 他现在可能到了。
You should be able to learn to swim in three hours. 你用三个小时就能学会游泳。
They should arrive in Shanghai by this time. 他们这时候该到上海了吧。
⑨will可以用来:
第一种:表示意愿,可用于各种人称。
例如:
I will lend you the book if you need it. 如果你需要,我愿意把书借给你。
We will uphold the wishes of the people. 我们要尊重人民的意愿。
I have talked with him but he will have his own way. 我已经和他谈过了,可他还是一意孤行。

第二种:表示意愿。
例如:
Try as she would,she could not keep clean. 尽管她想保持清洁,但总是无法做到。
He’d be glad if you would give him an account of it. 你如果愿意和他说说情况,他将会很高兴。
When John was ill,he would take Chinese medicine. 约翰生病的时候,他要吃中药。(过去时的意愿)
第三种:表示过去反复发生的动作,一种习惯。
例如:
On Sundays he would get up early and go fishing. 他每个星期天都要早起,然后去钓鱼。

Would和 used to的用法比较:
would和used to都可以表示过去经常发生的动作,但两者之间有区别。
第一,would常用来回忆过去经常重复的习惯动作,现在可能仍有这种习惯。used to强调过去与现在的对比,表示较远、目前不复存在的习惯。如:
Every evening she would tell me a story.
My brother used to be a worker,but now he is a teacher.
第二,would只能和表示动作的动词连用,而 used to既能和动作动词连用,也能和状态动词连用。如:
There used to be a temple there. 这儿过去有座寺院。
